High school is a time of unprecedented exploration, learning, and mind-changing. A George School education is designed to open doors and keep them open as long as possible. Our academic program lets you chart your own path - one that is as challenging as it is customized to you.
Four years, 150 courses…with numbers like that, you will only be able to take a fraction of what George School offers. But what you do take will be customized - and might include an IB Diploma, AP credit, a sampling of many interesting subjects, or an in-depth exploration of one. You will create a course of study that interests you, stretches you, and sets you up for the future in the best way possible.
Planning a course of study at George School is an ongoing process, and that's a good thing. While you make discoveries about yourself and your interests, you will consider (with help from faculty and staff) where you will go next, building self-sufficiency and self-advocacy skills along the way.
With Quaker tradition as its touchstone and academic excellence at its core, George School seeks to develop citizen scholars cheerfully committed to openness in the pursuit of truth, to service and peace, and to the faithful stewardship of the earth. We want our students to treasure learning for its own sake and to use it to benefit a diverse world. Above all, we want them to “let their lives speak.”
