Dr. Kim began his medical career at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. He completed his anesthesiology residency and pain management fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and is board certified in Pain Medicine, Anesthesiology, and Integrative Medicine. He also completed a master's in functional medicine at the University of South Florida. His multiple society memberships include the International Association for the Study of Pain, Spine Interventional Society, American Academy of Pain Medicine, Regional Pain and Anesthesia Society. North American Spine Society, North American Neuromodulation Society, and Clinical TMS Society. He is the past president of the Pennsylvania Pain Society. He is the secretary of the Federation for Pain Care Access.
Dr. Kim is the Chief Executive Officer and founder of the Center for Interventional Pain & Spine and Brain Care. He was a previous Medical Representative for the Controlled Substance Advisory Committee of Delaware, and a member of the Delaware Prescription Drug Action Committee. He is on the Delaware County Opioid Settlement Task Force. He has served as the DEA medical expert in Philadelphia and Delaware. He is also a current author on global and national guidelines, consensus panels, and chapters on spinal cord stimulation, intrathecal drug delivery systems, and minimal invasive procedures.

The Center for Interventional Pain Spine is one of the largest independent pain practices in the region, providing cutting-edge treatments and being involved in various clinical research projects. We offer advanced peripheral and spinal cord interventional and minimal options for spine and pain. We provided targeted intrathecal drug delivery systems and spinal or peripheral nerve stimulations for intractable pain conditions. As the original site in Pennsylvania, we offer non-invasive neuromodulation, MeRT ( Magnetic EEG response therapy) or EEG directed TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation) for neurodegenerative and neurodevelopment conditions such as depression, anxiety, migraine, obsessive compulsive disorder, pain, and addiction. Current clinical studies being performed in the office in post-traumatic stress disorder (Phase II) and autism.
