Completed a 7 year prestigious dental program to receive her Bachelors of Science from Villanova University and her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania.
Received her Pediatric Specialty Certificate after a two years at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children.
Worked as an associate at a multi-specialty practice in NJ for almost 10 years before purchasing Kidsteeth Pediatric Dentistry.
I do a comprehensive exam while gauging behavior and anxiety levels of both the child and parents. I explain everything that I'm doing in a way anyone can understand; using words that are not associated with dental anxieties. I talk to parents about a treatment plan and options along with their concerns and am willing to adjust treatment plans based on individual patient needs. I also discuss age appropriate prevention of dental disease; home care; and anticipatory guidance to avoid risks to teeth or growth. During all of these interactions my staff are great at keeping the children occupied and having fun with the ceiling TV's or the prize box so children realize our office is a place they should feel at home.
Find a provider who is a good fit for you and your child. No provider is a match for every child/parent. Ask other parents with children of similar ages- word of mouth is the best way to find good providers. Make sure to ask questions of the provider/staff if you have them.
I love science; technology; and working with my hands; but most of all I love working with children. I love shaping the views of dentistry for the young generation. There are too many people that hate going to the dentist and many times it is because of bad experiences. I'm trying to help as many children as I can have good experiences at the dentist and grow up loving to come every 6 months.
I get excited about cosmetics and making children feel good about their teeth and their smiles. Icon spot removal; Bonding; Zirconia Pediatric Crowns; and Bleaching are just a few of the procedures that help make this possible.
I also am excited to help allay anxieties with Nitrous Oxide analgesia (laughing gas) and if necessary I have hospital privileges at pediatric facilities to provide sleep dentistry.
The reactions that make even the hard days 100% worth it are the spontaneous hugs; the huge prideful smiles of accomplishment; the exclamations of "wow that was easy!"; or the parents telling me "my kids love coming here" or "he/she wants to be a dentist when they grow up."
We cater to the individual needs of our patients and are willing to make compromises to treat a child. We get to know our families and their needs. You will receive continuity of care and will not be treated as a number.
Our prices are competitive and fair.
Kidsteeth has been in business for 20 years. Dr. Annie has been the owner for the last 2; but has practiced dentistry since her graduation in 2006.
I don't usually write reviews...but I was so relieved and impressed I had to share. My daughter was a patient of a different dentist and everything was fine....until it was discovered she had cavities. They tried "laughing" gas and nothing worked. They wanted to try sleep dentistry; which I didn't love the idea of. So I took her to Kidsteeth! First visit they were able to start the process of filling her cavities. She was not anxious or anything. Could not have asked for a better experience. Nothing against the other office; perhaps my daughter was just being difficult but her level of ease at Kidsteeth has won me over completely! Thanks ladies...you rock! lol -D.Sanders
I have 4 kids aged 5 and under; and all of them go here. I highly recommend this practice. All of the hygienists and dentists are excellent with my kids; and they don't have any anxiety going here. They keep the waiting area and back room area very clean; and you can tell they take pride in their work. If you need a pediatric dentist; look no further!! -P.Peterson
Highly recommend this place to anyone in Delaware county!! This was my third try at a good dentist for my daughter and I'll never go anywhere else. My daughter went from being so scared she was punching and kicking everyone (took 3 of us to hold her down; she's 2 and 28 pounds) to fully cooperating for kidsteeth and being comfortable. They took their time to get her to trust them and let me be by her side every step of the way. Quality care at its finest -M.Tierney
