Known for his precision-driven approach and commitment to innovation, Dr. Fava specializes in state-of-the-art surgical implant placement, periodontal plastic surgery, and reconstructive and regenerative therapies. Dr. Fava is a leading expert in autogenous hard and soft tissue grafting.

His leadership extends beyond clinical practice through his roles in professional education, study clubs, faculty appointments, and peer-reviewed research contributions, reflecting a career dedicated to advancing both patient outcomes and the future of his specialty. As Owner and Clinical Director of the Pennsylvania Center for Dental Implants and Periodontics, Dr. Fava leads a hand-selected team of highly skilled surgeons whose combined experience supports the practice’s reputation for integrity, excellence, and patient-centered care.

What's your background, education and training?

Dr. Fava earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine (UPenn) and completed his specialty residency in Periodontics and earned a Master of Dental Science (MDSc) at the University of Connecticut (UConn).

Dr. Fava lectures nationally and internationally on breakthrough discoveries and trending topics related to modern dental implant surgery, soft-tissue esthetics, and biological bone augmentation. He has authored and co-authored numerous scientific articles published in peer-reviewed academic journals, including the International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry (IJPRD).
