Custom Menswear Shop Indochino Opening In Center City

Chestnut Street's latest addition.

Indochino

Indochino comes to Philly.

Good news on the menswear front: National menswear retailer Indochino is opening up a Center City outpost in two weeks. The menswear brand—which has a devoted online following—offers custom suits and shirts at very reasonable prices. (Think: Suits for $449 and shirts for $79.)

The brand tested the waters with a pop-up shop last May, and it was a hit with Philly shoppers. The Center City showroom will be Indochino’s fifth brick-and-mortar and only its third in the US. The Chestnut Street store is a 2,300-square-foot open concept space, with 10 “Style Guides”—associates trained to help you sift through measurements and design options. It’s made-to-measure without the steep price tag, but it looks far from cheap.

Here’s how it works: Make an appointment here. You’ll be professionally fitted for a suit, which is then custom-made for you and delivered to your home or the store in four weeks. After that, you’re invited to return to the showroom for a second fitting to make sure everything fits perfectly. It’s totally easy and not the least bit intimidating, which makes it great for first-time custom suit buyers.

The store it set to open on Wednesday, January 14th, at 1606 Chestnut Street.
