Bruce Hanes to stop issuing the licenses, argued the state court does not have jurisdiction to review the matter and that the health department does not have standing to ask the state court to intervene.

County Solicitor Ray McGarry asked Commonwealth Court to dismiss the health department’s petition for review, which was filed on Tuesday.

According to the article, 49 gay couples have received marriage licenses in Montgomery County so far, and 12 of them have gone on to marry. Stay tuned for updates!
