Dizengoff Extends Hours & Adds Delivery

On April 1, Dizengoff will extend their service hours.

First off, no. This is not a joke. Michael Solomonov’s little-hummusiya-that-could, Dizengoff, is extending its hours beginning  Wednesday, April 1. At that point, Diz will be open daily until 7 pm (or sell-out)–a full three hours longer than usual, and just in time for warm weather and outdoor seating.

But wait, there’s more…

The new, longer schedule is being made possible by a recent increase in production of the restaurant’s handmade pita. They’re now going to be cranking out 700 per day according to chef Emily Seaman, which ought to be enough that the inevitable sell-outs won’t happen quite so early as they normally do.

Unless, of course, a whole bunch of that new capacity is taken up by people in Center City getting hummus and pita delivered to them. Because yeah, Dizengoff is also now available for delivery via Caviar.
