Eagles Lead the NFL In Salary Cap Space

No Lombardi trophies as of yet, but the salary cap dominance continues.

According to Pro Football Talk, the Eagles have the most cap space in the NFL with a cool $21.4 million. They are followed by the Jaguars ($20.7), Chiefs ($14.5), Titans ($14.1) and Bills ($13.6). Here is the full list.

PFT notes that the numbers will be adjusted in-season.

Instead of factoring in the 51 highest-paid players, the in-season cap takes into account all 53 players, the practice squad, and players on reserve lists.

Clearly Howie Roseman learned well under Joe Banner when it comes to cap management. Despite their offseason spending spree last season and handing out new contracts to the likes of DeSean Jackson, LeSean McCoy, Todd Herremans and Trent Cole this year, they still have a ton of financial flexibility.

Jeremy Maclin and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie are both potentially in line for a pay day. The Eagles certainly have the money to get it done if they so choose.
