With its no-reservation policy, Dmitri’s — the funky BYOB Queen Village location, or the more grown-up, full-bar Pine Street spot — can easily turn into a whole evening’s investment. But it’s worth the wait. The grilled octopus will call you back again and again: tender and charred, splashed with vinegar and oil, salted, sprinkled with parsley. This is quintessential bargain cuisine. The Mediterranean Meze combination, a $12 bonanza of hummus, tarama salada, tzatziki, baba ghanoush, skordalia and beets, is a meal all by its lonesome.
