About
Waldron Mercy is a full-day, co-ed Catholic School sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy for students in preschool through 8th grade. WMA is located less than 10 miles outside of Center City, Philadelphia, and our diverse student body hails from 56 different zip codes.
Why choose Waldron for your child? At Waldron Mercy Academy, students imagine, explore, discover, and learn. They are invested in their own education and are driven to succeed. With a focus on Mercy Core values, integrity, and social responsibility, WMA students are encouraged to explore their passions, engage in service to others, and develop a deep sense of empathy and understanding.
Awards or Certifications:
WMA was recognized as a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence in 2001, 2009 and 2020. Additionally, WMA is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools and received the country’s first and only Program of Distinction in Service Learning from Middle States in 2017.
What is your teaching or educational philosophy?
At Waldron Mercy Academy, our interdisciplinary approach allows our students to strengthen their knowledge and skills by incorporating all subjects, from writing in history and science, to technology in service and religious education.
Our specialized curriculum is just one of the many steps we take to educate the whole child and make sure each student is prepared for what comes next. Our students are recognizable by their confidence in themselves, because they have been guided and encouraged to learn, to lead and to soar. When they graduate, every student excels in high school, higher education and in the world that awaits them.
