We first ate Michael Schulson’s food when he was rolling up sushi at Pod. After a stint at Buddakan in NYC, and the opening of his own first restaurant, Izakaya in AC, he’s back in Center City with more Pan Asian fare. His second restaurant, Sampan, has a modern, eye-catching design and a menu of small plates: Kobe satay has apricot, soy and Mirin; Ramen noodle soup comes with bbq pork; snapper comes with black beans and green mango.
