The Overview: This friendly, narrow space, with its cheerfully tone-deaf iTunes soundtrack, used to be an ice cream shop. That was what the neighborhood craved. But the happy-hour traffic jam at Tria’s door is delicious evidence of Center City’s expanding tastes. Albarino, gruner veltiner, valpolicella: Tria’s informative, irreverent menu has made those obscure grapes accessible and taken the snobbishness out of oversize wine glasses. Artisanal beers, rare cheeses, even mead, all benefit from the here-you-have-to-try-this! enthusiasm of the staff.
