A weeknight family dinner spot, recently renovated LaScala's (formerly Apollo pizza; same owners, more upscale venture) has a cozy, stone-and-wood atmosphere, big booths and chatty waitresses. Get the crispy calamari tossed with greens, chopped tomatoes, cukes and olives in a tangy vinaigrette to start, then share a few huge entrees, like the baked chicken and spinach cannelloni, veal involtini or well-received pizzas.
