Dr. Emily Bernstein is board certified in Adult Psychiatry through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She has two decades of experience treating a wide variety of psychiatric illnesses using both psychopharmacology and individual psychotherapy. She has worked in crisis settings, outpatient settings, and as a consulting psychiatrist on medical units in the hospital. She strives to build a trusting relationship with her patients and includes psychotherapy into medication management sessions when appropriate. Dr. Bernstein has a strong interest in mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders. She also has experience and interest in managing women’s mental health throughout the pre-partum, pregnancy, and post-partum periods, as well as issues related to a woman’s life cycle. She offers medication management and psychotherapy to individuals 18 and older either in person at our Paoli, PA office or via telehealth.

What's your background, education and training?

Dr. Bernstein graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Pennsylvania. She then proceeded to earn her medical degree and completed her psychiatry residency at The University of Pennsylvania’s School of Medicine.

Monday through Thursday 9AM-8PM. Friday 9-5PM. Saturday 10-3PM.

Fee-for-service provider.

If you have out-of-network reimbursement with your insurance plan, we will be happy to supply invoices for services rendered and bills paid, so that patients may submit for partial reimbursement to their insurance companies. Call for information. Patients may also use HSA accounts for our services.
