Join a Roving Horde of Santas on Saturday

Or is a sleuth of Santas? A murder of Clauses?

The annual music fest/bar crawl Running of the Santas is Saturday, December 10th, with 10,000 people dressed in Santa Claus costumes expected to attend. The festivities kick off at 10 a.m. at Field House, with live music from cover band Secret Service, drink specials and a “hottest Santa” contest — which should tell you everything you need to know about this event. The party will be both indoors and outside on Filbert Street.

At 5 p.m., everyone runs/strolls/rides sleighs from Field House (the South Pole) to Electric Factory (the North Pole), where the party will have been going since 11 a.m. There will be DJs outside at Electric Factory and several musical acts inside, including Go Go Gadjet, who can impressively imitate any singer and band, plus Garden State Radio, LeCompt, Shot of Southern, Romeo Delight, Train Wreck and the Kelsey Coan Band.

The organizers blocked off rooms for $129 at the Wyndham Hotel at 4th and Arch, which seems like an excellent idea after a full day of drink specials and ho ho ho-ing.
