Watsky x Infinity @ Theatre of Living Arts | Tuesday, September 20
Watsky brings his spoken word–infused hip-hop to TLA. His fast rapping got him enough attention a few years ago to score an invite from Ellen DeGeneres’ bookers, but more importantly he’s been in Epic Rap Battles of History.

The Peace Creeps @ PhilaMOCA | Thursday, September 22
The XPN-presented lineup features rockers The Peace Creeps, fronted by Richard Bush of The A’s; Gorilla, described as “melodic power pop straight out of the late seventies”: and CaveWomen, a garage rock duo with no women.

Coltrane at 90 @ Multiple Locations | Through September 25
The Philadelphia Jazz Project put together a series of free concerts to celebrate John Coltrane’s 90th birthday, including the Coltrane Festival at Temple on Wednesday, a fall equinox concert of Equinox, a party at the Piazza with hip-hop and house musicians re-interpreting the jazz legend’s music, and more.

Bad Boy Family Reunion Tour @ Wells Fargo Center | Friday, September 23
Puff Daddy! Lil Kim! Faith Evans! Mase, who I thought was a preacher now but apparently isn’t anymore! The Bad Boy family is back together, 20 years later.

Marty Grosz @ Venetian Club | Sunday, September 25
Guitarist and singer Marty Grosz is bringing his quartet to the Venetian Club Ballroom in Chestnut Hill. The 86-year-old, Berlin-born Grosz has been making music designed to get you up and dancing since the 1940s.

Eva Salina and Peter Stan with the West Philadelphia Orchestra @ Calvary Center | Sunday, September 25
This is something a little different: Eva Salina sings Balkan music and Peter Stan is a Serbian/Romanian Romani accordionist. They’ll play together for most of the show, and towards the end of the concert the lively Balkan brass band West Philadelphia Orchestra will join in.
