WATCH: Homefront: The Revolution’s “This Is Philadelphia” Trailer

In the game, Center City is fenced in and patrolled by armed guards — like a violent version of the papal visit.

When we last checked in on the upcoming video game Homefront: The Revolution, an analogue of the Eagles had just won the Super Bowl. Unfortunately, it was in a timeline where Korea and other East Asian nations had formed a coalition and invaded the United States.

The new trailer, titled “This is Philadelphia,” doesn’t show any sports victories. But it does show, of all places, the Residences at the Ritz-Carlton.

The Philadelphia geography is a little off, I suppose, but those are definitely well-done Philadelphia-style buildings. They’re similar to the ones in Rittenhouse on streets like Delancey Place. And who really expects (or even wants) a perfect Philadelphia? It’s pretty neat it’s in a video game, even if it is a dystopian future in 2029 where Center City is fenced in and patrolled by armed guards.

So, basically, this video game is set in a more violent version of the papal visit. Neat!

The game is set to be released on May 17th.
