Jersey Housewife Teresa Giudice Released From Prison

She’s free! Real Housewives of New Jersey‘s Teresa Giudice walked out of prison this morning after famously serving nearly a year for bankruptcy fraud. She got out a little earlier than her 15-month sentence for good behavior.

Unsurprisingly, the reality star barely got past the grounds before the paparazzi started flashing their cameras. People magazine shared the first series of photos as as she drove away from Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut, at around 5 am this morning.

Her first stop was her home in Montville, New Jersey, where People says she was greeted by husband Joe, her three daughters and a new black Lexus SUV in the driveway — complete with a bow on top. She will remain on house arrest through February 5th.

As we reported last week, Giudice and family will spend the holidays at her sister-in-law — and another RHONJ star  — Melissa Gorga‘s home. The merriment will be rather short lived, unfortunately. At the end of March, husband Joe will head to the Federal Correctional Institute in Fort Dix to serve his 41-month sentence. When the judge handed down his sentencing, he agreed to let the Giudices stagger their jail-time stays so there would always be someone home to take care of the kids.

In the meantime, Giudice is expected to release a memoir about her prison stay, Turning Tables: From Housewife to Inmate and Back Again, on February 9th. She reportedly signed a million-dollar contract to return to the next season of RHONJ, so we have that to look forward to, too.

So far Giudice hasn’t released any kind of statement, but Andy Cohen, producer of RHONJ tweeted this welcome-home message:
