Watch: Philly Actors Kill It in Hilarious Holiday Video
If you’re a regular Philadelphia theater consumer, then this new holiday video, featuring just about everyone you can possibly think of from our artistic community — from Blanka Zizka to chorus boys to a sleeping yellow cat — will surely make your holiday season a wee bit brighter.
There are so many local theater celebrities in the jolly holiday video that it might as well be billed as a Barrymore Awards ceremony, but if you watch closely, there are also plenty of inside references to productions that have caused a stir this season, including my favorite, the bizarre staging of Antigone at the Wilma).
The holiday video was designed by Mike Long, produced by Christopher Colucci, and recorded at Buckeye Studio here in Philly. Besides actors, the merry clip, which you can watch in full above, also includes live musicians and singers.
