Block Party at Wells Fargo Center Celebrates Paul McCartney and the Beatles

When Paul McCartney comes to town, you know it’s not going to be a low-key affair. Besides the sold-out concert at Wells Fargo Center (WFC) on Sunday night, there will be an exhibition of Sir Paul artworks on display at XFINITY Live and a pre-show block party popping up at WFC on Sunday afternoon.

Details about the bash are just now coming in: There will be Budweiser trucks and food stations hosted by Phon’s Fresh Phood of Philly, live performances by Beatles cover band The Beat Tells and McCartney-themed cocktails. The block party starts at 5 pm on Sunday, and it’s free for guests regardless of if you have a ticket to the concert or not.

If you do have a ticket—or if you manage to snag one from a scalper—you’ll get three hours of Paul McCartney singing songs that span his career as a Beatle, the frontman of Wings and a solo artist. This will be his first time performing at Wells Fargo Center since he sold out the stadium on two nights in 2010.
