Bill Cosby Breaks Silence to Thank Jill Scott and Whoopi Goldberg on Twitter

After a strange, long silence, Bill Cosby has finally said something — sort of — about those recent sexual assault allegations — in the form of a pair of thank you tweets. Earlier today, Cosby said thanks to Philly singer Jill Scott and Whoopi Goldberg for their support.

These messages come after Goldberg voiced skepticism about the alleged victims, asking why they didn’t get rape kits on an episode of The View a few weeks ago. Jill Scott took to Twitter herself on Monday, defending Cosby’s right to due process and also questioning the lack of evidence. Both Scott and Goldberg received considerable backlash for their comments.
