DO THIS: #whyilovephilly Bash Offers a Sneak Peek at Spruce Street Harbor Park

Join Philly Love Notes, the Delaware River Waterfront Corp, and Drink Philly to celebrate the many reasons we dig our fair city. On Thursday, June 26th, the Summer 2014 #whyilovephilly Party will bring together tons of Philadelphians to revel in the greatness of Philly while getting the chance to take an exclusive sneak peek of the much-anticipated Spruce Street Harbor Park.

The pop-up park will be open to the public throughout the summer beginning on Friday, June 27th, but guests of the #whyilovephilly bash will be able to check out all of the impressive amenities first. We’re talking floating barges with a restaurant, bar, and stage, an 80-hammock lounge, misting areas, and an urban beach and boardwalk.

XPN will present the record release of artist Ron Gallo’s new solo album, and the fete will feature a waterfront concert upon the park’s floating barges, with sets from The Lawsuits and Up the Chain.

There will be food and drink aplenty, with all proceeds from the night donated to DRWC, the non-profit in charge of development along the waterfront.

Come enjoy the city’s newest amazing space while toasting to the plethora of reasons we adore Philadelphia. Tickets are available here.

Thursday, June 26th (Rain Date: July 3rd), $10, 21+, 7-11 p.m., Spruce Street Harbor Park, Spruce & Columbus Blvd.
