M. Night Shyamalan to Host Free Discussion Next Week at the Penn Museum
Filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan and his wife, Dr. Bhavna Shyamalan, will speak at the Penn Museum next week in what will be the first public program hosted by the M. Night Shyamalan Foundation (MNSF). The organization supports the grassroots efforts of leaders who are “working to remove the barriers and eliminate inequities created by poverty.”
Friday’s panel discussion, “Action to Make a Better World,” will feature three of their grantees, who will discuss the work they’re doing and how it’s progressed since teaming with MNSF. The impressive lineup of speakers includes Katie Meyler, one of Time‘s 2014 “Person of the Year” honorees and founder of the Liberia-focused More Than Me foundation; Challenging Heights founder and winner of the World’s Children’s Prize, James Kofi Annan; and Alejandro Gac-Artigas, Echoing Green fellow and founder of Philly’s Springboard Collaborative.
