Miley Cyrus to Induct Wynnewood Rock Goddess Joan Jett Into Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Details are emerging about the April 18th ceremony to induct six new music icons into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The ceremony will take place at Public Hall in Cleveland, where Wynnewood native Joan Jett & her Blackhearts will be inducted alongside Lou Reed, Green Day, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Bill Withers, and the Paul Butterfield Blues Band.

As tradition states, younger artists come in to help induct the legends. Beck, Karen O, and fun.’s Nate Ruess will perform a tribute to Reed, Penn alum John Legend will perform for Withers—a perfect match-up—and Miley Cyrus will induct Jett.

Jett and Cyrus have performed together before—on this Oprah Winfrey music special, which gives you somewhat of a taste of what you might expect out of Cyrus’s performance:

The ceremony, which will air live on HBO on May 30th, will also include appearances by Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, Fall Out Boy, and Patti Smith among others.
