QUICKIE: HBO Renews Girls for Fifth Season

HBO has given the green light to a fifth season of Girls—before the fourth season even airs. Network President Michael Lombardo made the announcement during a premiere party in New York City on Monday night.

Of the fifth season scripts, creator and star Lena Dunham has said that “No one has seen them, but they do exist.” While Andrew Rannells, who plays Elijah in the series, hinted that the cast will begin filming in the spring.

The fourth season of Girls premieres on January 11th on HBO.
