UPDATE, Friday, 12:45 p.m.: NJ.com is reporting that the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the Morris County Sheriff’s Office, and Teresa Giudice’s new lawyer have all denied that a raid took place. More information as we have it.

ORIGINAL: Just weeks before she begins her 15-month prison sentence for fraud, Radar online reports that federal agents raided the New Jersey home of Real Housewives of New Jersey stars Teresa and Joe Giudice, seizing, among other things, cash and even Christmas gifts. More from Radar Online.

Federal officials [seized] property to satisfy the couple’s outstanding restitution after they had failed to set-up a payment plan.

A source close to the situation told Radar, “Plasma televisions, expensive jewelry, cash, and even the kids’ Christmas presents were taken.”

“Teresa was home and was absolutely stunned by the raid,” the insider said. “She had no clue they were coming. She was absolutely hysterical, and begging them not to take the girls’ Christmas presents.”

But her plea fell on deaf ears. What’s more, agents were in for a surprise too. Said the source, “A large amount of cash was found in the wine cellar.”

The raid came after the Real Housewives of New Jersey couple failed to “submit any payment plan for the outstanding $214,000 they owe in restitution,” the insider said. “As such, prosecutors were eager to get the property seized.”

“The property will now be auctioned off with the money going into a trust account. If there is any money left over, it would go to paying creditors in their bankruptcy, in which they owe $14.3 million,” the insider explained.
