Fan Pays $300,000 for a Lasagna Dinner With Bruce Springsteen

Wednesday night, at the Stand Up For Heroes charity event in New York City, one fan with too much cash on his hands paid $300,000 to spend an evening with Bruce Springsteen.

The cash will grant the man an hour guitar lesson, a lasagna dinner at Springsteen’s house and a ride in the sidecar of The Boss’s motorcycle.

Besides auctioning off the package, Springsteen was on hand for the event, which raises money for the Bob Woodruff Foundation, an organization that aids military service members and their families when they return from war, to play a handful of songs. The acoustic set included “Growin’ Up,” ”Dancing in the Dark” and “Born in the U.S.A.”

AP reports that “the night raised more than $1 million, with Springsteen’s packages making up more than half of the contributions.”
