The Book of Mormon Announces Philly Rush Ticket Policy

The much-anticipated national tour of Broadway’s The Book of Mormon, which will be playing Philadelphia’s Forrest Theatre from July 29 through September 14, has announced that they will be offering a very limited number of rush tickets for $25 apiece on the day of the performance via a lottery.

The show, which won nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical, will take entries for the lottery two and a half hours prior to each performance at the Forrest Theatre box office (1114 Walnut Street).  Two hours before the start of the performance, names will be drawn at random for a limited number of rush tickets; the winners must be present in order to purchase the tickets, and only one entry is allowed per person.

This isn’t the first time that the touring company has done this promotion; in previous cities, they have had up to 800 entries for the discount rush tickets for a single performance.  In other words, don’t get your hopes up!

If you’re up to the challenge, the performance schedule is Tuesday through Thursday evenings at 7:30PM, Friday and Saturday evenings at 8PM, and Sunday evenings at 6:30PM; matinees are Saturdays at 2PM and Sundays at 1PM.
