6 Things to Do in Philly This Weekend: Rob Delaney, Prancing Puppies, K-Pop Fashion and More
Get our weekly picks of what to do this weekend and the latest on Philly's arts and entertainment scene.

K-Pop Fashion Show and Dance Party
As part of its "Treasures from Korea: Arts and Culture of the Joseon Dynasty, 1392-1910" exhibit, the Philadelphia Museum of Art's Art After 5 takes on Korean pop music (K-pop, if you're nasty.) Fashion students from the Art Institute of Philadelphia will showcase their runway-ready designs to a soundtrack of live K-pop tunes. There will also be a dance party and mini-dance lessons for anyone eager to try out K-pop superstars Shinee's (pictured) killer choreography (squeal!) Friday, March 28th, 5 p.m., Philadelphia Museum of Art, 2600 Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

Rob Delaney
Irreverent comedian and "twitter celebrity" Rob Delaney (who we chatted with this week) brings his blend of earnest encouragement (he's open about addiction, depression and seeking help), and the earnestly vulgar (other favorite topics are things he'd like to do with/on his neighbor Karen.) With a hot new book, and appearances on Comedy Central and the gamut of late night shows, Delaney is quickly rising from plucky newcomer to seasoned veteran. Catch him on the ascent Friday at the Trocadero. Friday, March 28th, 8 p.m., $20, The Troc, 1003 Arch Street.

Dog Days of Summer
Hotel Monaco is celebrating National Dog Day this Tuesday with Dog Days of Summer–a special event for four-legged friends and their owners. While you enjoy a “Dogs & Suds” happy hour on the patio at Red Owl Tavern, your furry family member will be primped and pampered with a free dog wash from the team at Doggie Style. All washes are free, though donations are appreciated, as proceeds will benefit Operation Ava–a local no-kill shelter. Plus, adoptable pups will be on site for those in the market for a new best friend. Tuesday, August 26th, 5 p.m. - 8 p.m., Hotel Monaco, 433 Chestnut Street.

Nearly Lear
In this one-woman show, Susanna Hamnett plays the fool, retelling the Bard's classic from the perspective of the king's companion. Nearly Lear has travelled from the Sydney Opera House to Vancouver, bringing laughs and new life to Shakespeare's Great Play. Saturday, March 29th and Sunday March 30th, noon and 4 p.m., $25, The Painted Bride Art Center, 230 Vine Street.

The Act II Price is Right
In honor of Act II's 15th birthday, the playhouse invites theater-goers to come on down for an evening of game show antics. Contestants from the audience can go on stage to participate in all new games, and those seat-bound can revel in the uproarious competition. Light fare will be provided by Sweet Briar Cafe. Saturday, March 29th, 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., $40, Act II Playhouse, 56 East Butler Avenue.

5,000 Women Festival
In honor of Women's History Month, 5,000 Women — an organization designed to inspire and showcase women artists and thinkers — holds its 5,000 Women Festival. Group founder and comedian Jennifer Blaine (pictured) will host. There will be featured appearances from female artists of all disciplines, including Saturday Night Live's Sharon Geller and poet Susan Windle. Saturday, March 29th, 8 p.m., $20, Philadelphia Ethical Society, 1906 Rittenhouse Square.
