THIS WEEKEND: French Classics, Frayed Lederhosen, a Winter Block Party and More

Our weekly guide to what to do this weekend in Philadelphia.

The Idiopathic Ridiculopathy Consortium revives the enchanting, rarely performed French classic Ondine. The show, based on an 1811 novella by Friedrich de la Motte Fouqué, debuted on Broadway in 1954 with Audrey Hepburn playing the lead. (Fun fact: She was wearing her Ondine costume the night she won the Best Actress Oscar for Roman Holiday.) Philly puppet arts master Aaron Cromie directs. Opens Fri., Feb. 7, 7:30 p.m., through March 2, Studio 5 of the Walnut Street Theatre, 825 Walnut St.

The African American Museum is hosting a Wine Mixer. The mix-and-mingle event will feature work by photographer Ricky Codio, music by Mel Alston Jr. & Sap Sounds and a fashion showcase of work by designers Mah Jing Wong and Christopher J. Brown. Fri., Feb. 7, 7 p.m.-11 p.m., $15-$65, African American Museum of Art, 701 Arch St.

The colorful (and hairy) Bearded Ladies Cabaret resurrect film icon Marlene Dietrich in “Marlene and the Machine: A German Expressionist Cabaret.” When the show was performed in 2012, the Inquirer called it a “a 90-minute tutorial on manipulating others by mastering your own emotions.” Inspect dudes in drag, frayed lederhosen and tunes by composer Friedrich Hollaender that Miss Dietrich made famous back in the day. Fri., Feb. 7 to Sat., Feb. 8, 7:30 p.m., $30, the Annenberg Center, 3680 Walnut St.
