Colin Farrell and Noomi Rapace to Film Mob Movie in Philly

This afternoon, the Greater Philadelphia Film Office confirmed that Colin Farrell and Noomi Rapace are heading to Philadelphia soon for the filming of Dead Man Down. It’s a New York-set mob movie, directed by Niels Arden Oplev, who previously worked with Rapace on the original Swedish adaptation of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. This will mark both Farrell and Rapace’s debuts on the streets of Philadelphia, though it’s not the first time that our city has been used as a substitute for New York, with The Best and the Brightest, Limitless, and upcoming Jason Statham vehicle Safe all shot here but set in Manhattan. Both Farrell and Rapace appear to be single at the moment, and I can only imagine that you’ll see HughE Dillon stationed outside of Parc and the Rittenhouse in coming days.
