Quicken Loans National is a Hole-In-One for PGA Golfers and Local Charities
Don’t miss out on an opportunity to see some of the PGA’s top professional golfers as well as former champions like Tiger Woods, K.J. Choi, Anthony Kim, and Justin Rose compete this summer. The 2014 Quicken Loans National (formerly AT&T National) will again be held at Congressional Country Club in Bethesda of Montgomery County, Maryland. The Quicken Loans National has grown into one of the premier stops on the PGA Tour thanks to immense support and generosity from volunteers, sponsors, and DC and Philadelphia communities. If you’re a golfer or golf enthusiast, this is a great event that’s local to the area!
This year’s tournament will take place from June 23rd to June 29th and will consist of 120 top golfers from around the world competing for their stake of the $6.5 million purse. The golfers won’t be the only ones in a position to take home some prize money. In honor of its inaugural year as title sponsor, Quicken Loans will reward one person $1 million if a golfer in the event aces the 10th hole (a par-3 favorite stretching 190 yards over water) during tournament play from June 26th to June 29th at Congressional Country Club. An additional $25,000 will be donated to the charity of that particular professional golfer’s choice.
Following the Quicken Loans National, the company will continue the excitement of their hole-in-one event by awarding a year’s worth of mortgage payments to a randomly selected entrant for each ace made during official PGA Tour events in the 2014 calendar year.
In addition to being one of the premier stops on the PGA Tour, the Quicken Loans National event raises funds and awareness for the college-access programs of the Tiger Woods Foundation, focusing on two Tiger Woods Learning Center campuses in DC as well as the 25 Earl Woods Scholars who hail from the DC area.
