Bud and Burgers Happy Hour Calendar 8/2-8/8: Where To Get (Discounted!) Budweiser and Burger Specials This Week
The power couple is often considered one of the romantic variety. And sure, while folks like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie maintain their reign as the “it” duo of the decade, there are plenty of prominent, platonic pairs — think Batman and Robin or Oprah and Gayle — that have stood the test of time. The latest in sublime match-ups? Budweiser and burgers.
To spread the word about the savory-meets-smooth amalgamation, Budweiser is joining forces with local restaurants for a series of Bud-and-burger happy hours where each participating restaurant will put its own spin on the special. Then, diners are invited to compete on social media for a sweet prize package (think: Made in America and Eagles tickets). Here, your three must-visit happy hours.
Maggie’s Waterfront Cafe, August 3, 5pm to 7pm
Like its name suggests, Maggie’s Waterfront is a charming eatery located right along the Delaware River. On Monday, stop by to enjoy their $10 burger and Budweiser special. It includes a 16-ounce draft and “The Philthy Philly Burger”, a filet mignon patty with in-house seasonings, topped with Philly cheesesteak, sautéed onions, Budweiser-infused American cheese sauce served on a toasted soft pretzel bun. 9242 North Delaware Avenue.
The Parish Pub, August 7, 5pm to 7pm
The fan-favorite pub is serving up a flavorful fusion that includes chorizo and black angus beef patty topped with a hot pepper and onion salsa, pork roll bacon and steak, queso fresco and a Valentina cream sauce. The $8 special is accompanied by a 16-ounce can of Budweiser. 3510 Cottman Avenue, Mayfair.
Nick’s Roast Beef, August 7, 9pm to 11pm
Diners with a penchant for late night eats should pencil this happy hour onto their calendars. From 9pm to 11pm, Chef Larry Rice will be serving a shake-up of your classic American cheeseburger, “The Looney Burger.” It’s topped with thin-sliced roast beef and roast pork made fresh from Nick’s Roast Beef’s almost 50-year-old recipe, and then seasoned with roasted peppers, sharp provolone cheese and a slather of horseradish mayo. This tasty $12 plate is served with a 16-ounce Budweiser draft. 2210 Cottman Avenue.
While you make your way through the happy hours, snap a photo of you and your friends enjoying Bud and burgers at a Bud & Burgers Happy Hour location. Then, share your best photo on Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #BudAndBurgersPHL. You can also submit your picture on Facebook.
Winners of the photo contest will win an exclusive event package that includes: two VIP Budweiser Made in America tickets, two Philadelphia Eagles game tickets and two Battle of the Burger tickets. Four runners-up will receive two Battle of the Burger tickets.
Of course, the best way to sample all of the burgers and brews at the Bud & Burgers Happy Hours is to just go to all of ‘em. For more information about the contest and Budweiser, click here. This is a paid partnership between Budweiser and Philadelphia Magazine's City/Studio
