As the November 6th General Election is quickly approaching, it’s important that Philadelphians are prepared. As a general election, there’s a lot at stake with local, county, state, and federal elections all on the ballot. To make things easier, we pulled together the top three priorities, or ABCs, you need to nail down before the big day.

Whether you’re red or blue, your voice needs to be heard. Here’s how you can plan ahead:

Ask about your polling place.

If you’ve just turned 18 or recently moved, you can find your registered polling place here[1]. Hours for all polling places in the city are 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. If you’re a first-time voter or haven’t voted in your registered polling place yet, you’ll need to bring proper identification. These include a driver’s license, U.S. passport, military, employee or student ID, and a current bill or bank statement. If your ID doesn’t have a photo on it, it must include your address.

Brush up on who’s running.

Unsure of exactly who’s on the ballot? Check out this breakdown[2] of all the local positions. Read up on party affiliation, stances, previous experience and more so you’re ready to make an informed decision come Election Day.

Call a Lyft.

Your biggest priority? Make it to the polls! In the 2016 election over 15 million people were registered but didn’t vote due to lack of transportation. This year, Lyft is ensuring no one passes on the polls because they couldn’t catch a ride. On November 6th, Lyft is offering fifty percent off rides for everyone and free rides for those living in underserved communities. So, go on and exercise your #ridetovote.
