6 Can’t-Miss Dietz & Watson Pop-Up Delishop Events This Month
If you haven’t made your way to 501 South Street to check out Dietz & Watson’s pop-up Delishop, hurry up! You’re running out of time to experience fun, food-inspired events the whole family will love.
There’s still one more month to stop by Dietz’s pop-up shop (in honor of their 80th anniversary) on South Street. Full of fun apparel and accessories (think, “Meat Sweats” sweatshirts, “Salami Mami” hoodies and a “Wooder” bottle!), events, surprise guests, and Instagram-worthy photo ops (like a built-in bodega, backyard area and murals from local artists Gloss Black and Kyle Earl), it’s the perfect place to hang out and beat the heat. Plus, for the rest of the summer Dietz is offering up free Amoroso rolls with the purchase of any deli meat or cheese.
Here are the final six can’t-miss events you’ll want to make your way to South Street for this month:
4th of July Festivities
In town for the fireworks or other fourth festivities? Swing by the Delishop from 4-7PM for additional activities. There will be a face painter, water ice, meat, cheese and beer samplings, cornhole and more.
Dog Days of Summer
Come out and support our furry friends on July 13th from 1-3PM. The Delishop will have a few adorable doggies outside available for adoption and ten percent of the in-store sales that day will be donated to Street Tails Animal Rescue.
Calling all Eagles fans—the Delishop is hosting a kickoff to training camp on Sunday, July 21st from 12-3PM with a DJ, food, beer, games and special guest appearances by Alshon Jeffrey, Swoop, and Eagles Cheerleaders.
Go on and grab yourself a hump day hoagie at the bi-weekly Hoagie Flight happy hour (running throughout the shop’s three-month stay from 12-1:30pm). Every other week, guests will receive three complimentary hoagie samples to taste test, all provided by local Real Philly Delis.
Every other Tuesday gather your group and stop by South Street for a family fun night filled with Philly’s favorite foods (mini pretzel dogs from Philly Pretzel Factory and water ice), a face painter and a magician.
Have a Pair
For the connoisseur crowd, there will be weekly meat and cheese tastings. Every other week, a local brewery, like Double Nickel or Levante, will be there from 5-6:30pm to offer beer pairings with the tastings. Wonder how your favorite brews would pair with Dietz meats? Now you’ll know and be prepped to build the ultimate appetizer spread for your next summer party.
