UPDATE: Due to the weather forecast, we’ve made the decision to cancel our Shoppist Pop-Up Market at tomorrow’s Midtown Village Fall Festival. (Sadly, tables of small gift goods and 40mph winds is not a good combination.) The good news? The Midtown Village Fall Festival is still on! Stay tuned for more Shoppist events coming soon.

Dear Shoppists: Don’t even think about wasting the weekend in a Netflix binge-fest. The best way to ring in fall is Saturday’s Midtown Village Fall Festival, an annual event, now in its tenth year, that brings together the best food (all of the 13th street stalwarts, plus countless food trunks), drinks (um, four beer gardens) and shopping.

More on that last part: While you’ll be able to shop goods from the neighborhood’s coolest shops, like Open House, Duross & Langel and Verde, you’ll also get the chance to shop some of the city’s other retail gems at Shoppist’s Pop-Up Market, located in a big tent on the corner of 13th and Chestnut. The market was curated by yours truly, and it features some of my favorite shops in the city: Omoi Zakka ShopOccasionette, Aoki Boutique and Philadelphia Independents.
The event is from 12pm to 8pm, and it’s rain or shine. Go here for more info and be sure to pay us a visit! Happy shopping.
