We shopped there to give you the scoop.

Well, Shoppists, the best-kept secret of the suburbs, Shop Sixty Five, has finally made the move to Philly. Owner Linda LaRosa recently sold her Doylestown store and closed the doors to the Gladwyne shop to put full energy into the boutique’s new, stunning Rittenhouse location.

Holy statement earrings.

The new store, previously inhabited by The Atelier, is a gorgeous mix of antique, intricate interiors (think hand-carved fireplace detail, lofty white ceilings with gorgeous moldings) and the newest looks from brands we love, like Helmut Lang, Gary Graham, Iro, Zadig & Voltaire, Elizabeth and James, Haute Hippie, and Raquel Allegra. And Veda  –  those jackets. I die.

The merchandise selection is a sensory overload of textures, colors and statement jewelry, all selected by LaRosa who, when I stopped in, was fresh off a New York buying trip. Her extensive background in the fashion industry — European fashion editor, celebrity stylist, fashion director – makes her possibly the most qualified person in this city to curate a wardrobe.

Suburbanites, although the original Doylestown location is still running under new ownership, make the trip downtown. In fact, the store is hosting a grand opening party Friday, October 9th from 6-10pm with cocktails and a DJ in case you need a little more convincing. Happy shopping!
