Covet: Stone & Strand’s Major Earrings
The best online jewelry site ever, and it's the brainchild of a Wharton grad.

The latest wunderkind to come out of Wharton isn’t a hedge-fund whiz but rather Nadine McCarthy Kahane, a globe-trotting gem hunter who unearths the world’s most jaw-dropping baubles and brings them to the well-heeled masses via Stone & Strand, her tightly edited e-commerce site.
Her show-stopping collection includes these earrings by Australian designer Katherine Jetter: pavé tsavorite vines suspended from blue opals, tipped off by an apricot-hued carnelian bud—sparkling flora even prettier than of-the-garden varieties. $6,200 at Stoneandstrand.com.
