GOOP and Her Famous Friends are Selling Their Stuff Online Right Now

Cleaning house after the conscious uncoupling?

I get the weekly GOOP newsletters (I know, I know). Most times, I delete them immediately (I actually do not care about what nine-course vegan Meal of the Gods Gwynnie and Mario Batali recently ate atop a crystal palace in Dubai), but today’s email caught my eye: The Annual GOOP Closet Sale.

GOOP got some of her favorite (and very famous friends) to clean out their closets. We’re not talking faded Gap cardigans and old American Eagle hoodies here. No, we’re talking a pair of crazy-colorful Stuart Weitzman booties that were custom-made for Beyoncé ($2,500, size 8.5, never worn); a color-blocked suede Pierre Hardy bag that belonged to Gwyneth ($650); a Fendi tunic donated by Caroline de Maigret ($1,150, from SS13 runway); a pair of mint embellished Christian Louboutin sandals owned by Nicole Richie ($500); a Tory Burch sundress donated by Miranda Kerr ($250); a Balenciaga dress donated by Kate Hudson ($600); and a size-4 “barely worn” Hugo Boss Black chain-halter long black dress donated by GOOP ($600).

All proceeds go to DonorsChoose, a nonprofit that helps support public schools and teachers.

I can’t help but feel that GOOP is holding out a bit. Where’s that Tom Ford cape? How about this Balmain tuxedo jacket? And this adorable Prada? And this Prabal Gurung dress? Put those online, GOOP, and then we’re talking.

Still, those Beyoncé shoes are pretty amazing.
