Joe and I learned very early in our relationship that we were the epitome of Murphy’s law as a couple. So with the luck we’ve always had, we’ve learned to laugh things off and approached our wedding day with a very laid-back attitude. It was really important to us to focus on what was important and celebrate every minute of our wedding day. After our first look (where I showed him my monogrammed pedicure with my new initial peeping out from my Kate Spade shoes), we took pictures around the city with our bridal party, and then arrived at our venue for both our ceremony and reception. Guests were greeted with our signature cocktail, a “Mr. & Mrs. Mojito” watermelon mojito, then escorted into the cocktail space where they picked up their custom place cards stamped with the Philadelphia skyline, and favors of Marcie Blaine’s artisinal chocolate. In the reception, tables were named after our favorite Philadelphia landmarks. The rest of the night was spent dancing, drinking and enjoying every moment of being surrounded by the people we love the most. Who could ask for anything more than that?
