Dianna and Brian Reuter

From the bride: “On March 1, 2014, Brian knelt in Rittenhouse Square and presented me with a ring I had worn often since I was teenager: a claddagh my grandfather bought for my mother in Ireland in 1974. Brian had taken the ring to a jeweler, who cut the hands and crown off the claddagh and placed it atop a new ring. In the place of the heart lay a diamond from his great aunt’s engagement ring; a gift from his mother. When Brian knelt to give me the ring, he explained, ‘This represents our two families coming together.’ Over the next eighteen months, we arranged for a fairly simple (but packed!) party with our two families and a host of friends. In September of 2015, we wed just steps away from the site of our engagement, in St. Patrick’s Church. A Philadelphia-themed night unfolded afterwards at Headhouse Square, where guests danced the night away and left with Herr’s chips, soft pretzels, and plenty of smiles.”
