Just Listed: Designer Condo in Northern Liberties
Like many modern residences, this roomy modern condo is an empty box waiting for an owner to fill it with their imagination. This one got filled by an interior design pro.
I like to feature houses with personality in the daily house feature here, in case you may not have noticed.
Oftentimes, the personality comes from the house itself. Its architecture, or its siting, or even its history give it character and meaning.
Most of the new houses being built in the city, however, don’t have this kind of personality. They’re the equivalent of a blank canvas, awaiting someone who can transform it into a highly personal vision.
And much of that time, that blank canvas takes the form of a gray box with a splotch of dark wood in one corner.
Spaces like these get their personality from what their owners fill them with. An interior designer for a top local firm filled this one, and the results are quite nice.
This designer largely worked with a color palette that complemented rather than contrasted with the gray walls, but added splashes of color strategically, as the photo of the main-floor living area above should make clear.
Of course, an unadorned gray box lends itself to unfussy contemporary furnishings, which the designer supplied. Burnt orange elements and geometric patterns bring the Southwest to mind, and the lamps add a dash of the midcentury modernist aesthetic.
This earthy aesthetic carries over into the decor of the three bedrooms. The one on the main floor currently serves as a home office, and the two downstairs bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms.
Outside, on the spacious rear patio, the designer added a little more color to go with the more varied background surrounding it.
Also surrounding this condo: everything people like about Northern Liberties. That includes unique eateries, an Acme supermarket, neighborhood shops and boutiques, recreation and entertainment spots, and Liberty Lands Park, all within walking distance. And with a Walk Score of 95 and a Bike Score of 91, you’ll be able to keep up with your need for exercise just going about your daily routines.
This extra-wide townhouse condo for sale has plenty of room to accommodate you, your lifestyle, your taste and your vision. Not sure what that vision is? The owner of this house might be able to help you come up with one.
