“…and the 42 Freeway is backed up from Clements Bridge Road to 295…”
How many rush hours have you spent steaming in the clot on the North-South Freeway as the traffic reporters advise you you’re going to be there for a while?
Wouldn’t you rather ride out the jam someplace comfortable?
So here’s what you should do: Tomorrow, take the day off from work. Head up the 42 Freeway and get off at Exit 12. Bear right onto Clements Bridge Road, drive across Clements Bridge, and head a couple of blocks more to the east until you arrive at this handsome rancher at the corner of Rowand Avenue.
Then imagine yourself, right now, telecommuting while you sip an iced tea poolside.
We strongly suspect this home got tired of sitting in Shore-bound traffic itself and decided to get off the freeway rather than head all the way to Absecon Island. It has that openness, brightness and sunniness that characterizes Shore homes; all it lacks is a beach nearby.
Its owner has poured a lot of time, money and effort into making its fenced-in backyard an approximation of a Shore resort as well. With a heated in-ground pool, a paver patio on the side, and a large landscaped yard with storage shed, you can take a vacation here whenever you want.
Its living and dining rooms shine under their beamed ceilings, and its kitchen has a separate bar for more than just breakfast.
A large sun porch faces the backyard. A full finished basement offers more recreational opportunities.
And if you really need to devote some space to work, you could always turn part of the basement rec room or one of its three bedrooms into a home office.
With that, you’d be all set so that you’d never have to grind your teeth again as you approached Exit 12 on Route 42. In fact, you could probably avoid it completely, given that the Deptford Mall is just on the other side of the freeway from your home and the Black Horse Pike is a short drive in the other direction.
