West Philly Favorite Rx Is Reborn Today
Now called Rx the Farmacy, the beloved brunch spot Rx at 45th and Spruce is back, this time with an odd spelling decision. According to Foobooz, starters include Montreal’s specialty poutines, which has also been known to pop up at other local eateries, like Sidecar in G-Ho. The BYOB will once again return to doing brunch, at which it excelled as Rx.
When Rx first opened on the site of an old pharmacy, many antique medicine bottles and display cases were part of the decor. That changed, unfortunately, until the design was bland as could be. Perhaps with the new name (which defiantly ignores Philadelphia’s “ph”), some vestiges of old pharmacy Philly will return.
