When we first shared our round-up of 18 adorable ways to incorporate Philadelphia’s LOVE Statue into your wedding day[1], actually getting married in front of Robert Indiana’s iconic sculpture was only a pipe dream. Now, that dream is a pipe dream no more — Philadelphia’s Parks & Recreation department recently announced “Wedding Wednesdays”[2] in LOVE Park, and will be conducting ceremonies for 12 lucky couples in front of the LOVE statue each month starting in October.

Interested in being one of those couples? Here’s what you need to know:

Wedding Wednesday will take place on two Wednesdays each month. On each Wednesday, the city will allow for six 30-minute ceremonies between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Nabbing one of those slots will require showing up at the Register of Wills (Room 413 in City Hall) on the first Tuesday of the month. Once there, you’ll need to register to marry (be sure to bring the proper documents[3]), and then you can put in your request to sign up for the next month’s Wedding Wednesday. The twelve ceremonies per month are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, so it probably wouldn’t hurt to get there a little early. (The Registry of Wills office opens at 8 a.m.)

If you’re one of the lucky couples, you’ll need to pay a $50 fee online through Fairmount Park Conservancy. (You can also bring a money order on the day of your ceremony.) That $50 gets you the following:

• Dedicated use of the 20-foot-by-20-foot area in front of the LOVE Statue for you and your guests during your 30-minute time slot
• Greeters to usher your guests in the direction of the ceremony
• An officiant to conduct the ceremony

You’ll want to arrive 30 minutes before of your ceremony, and probably budget some time within your 30-minute slot for photos. Looking for a place to host your reception afterwards?
