You Can Try On BHLDN Gowns In Person at the Navy Yard Sample Sale This Weekend

BHLDN’s sample sale is happening this Saturday, May 7th at the Navy Yard. Not in a field.

Normally when we speak of or present you with wedding gowns from BHLDN, before you can try any on, there is online perusing and ordering to be done. (Like with the new spring sale we mentioned earlier this week.) There (woefully!) isn’t a brick-and-mortar shop in Philly just yet, so you’ve got to wait until the mailman arrives at your door and then give ’em a twirl.

Except, ladies, when the Philly-based bridal brand holds a once-in-a-while sample sale here in town—and we’ve just been alerted that one of those very events will be taking place this Saturday. Here’s the lowdown:

  • The deets: Saturday, May 7, 9am-12pm at the Navy Yard, 5000 South Broad Street, Building 3. No appointments, just come on down.
  • The dresses: Priced between $100-$300 (some were originally priced up to $3,600) and in varying conditions (they won’t all be perfect; these are samples, after all), sold as is. Oh, and there will only be wedding dresses, here—no accessories or frocks for your bridesmaids.
  • The scene: No fitting rooms and no mirrors, so plan on wearing something easy to get in and out of and bringing a sheet or somesuch if you wish someone in your entourage to shield you while trying on. (They ask that you do not attempt to smuggle a full-length mirror inside. Just snap a pic like Cher in Clueless to see what you look like.)
  • The deal: Credit cards only, all purchases are final, and there’s a limit of six purchases per customer.

Supposedly, there are also prizes to be won and special gifts to be handed out; to find out the deal with that, follow BHLDN on Snapchat: @BHLDNWEDDINGS.

So grab your ‘maids, get there early, fan out, scoop your dream dress, and then go hit brunch hard to celebrate your victory.
