This 120-Year-Old Wedding Dress Has Been Worn 11 Times and We Love It

Lehigh Valley Live was there when Bethlehem bride Abigail Kingston went to her wedding-dress fitting—but this was a little more involved than just a few alterations. She was trying on a 120-year-old heirloom, and will be the 11th bride in her family to wear it.
The last time the dress was worn was 1991, and it needed more than a little love to get it back in working order. Easton bridal designer Deborah LoPresti put 200 hours of work into restoring the gown; mending holes and fixing the discolored satin. And as you can see from the photos, those hours were well worth it. How lovely will Abigail look on her wedding day? (She plans to wear the gown just for her cocktail hour.)
