The flower arrangements and bouquets you decide on for your Big Day will likely be one of the largest investments you make while planning your party—not only are florals the main design element for many weddings, but they can gobble up quite a bit of your budget too, so it’s important to be thoughtful when choosing your blooms.
Before approaching your florist with a jumble of Pinterest photos you’ve been gathering over the years, take a look at these wedding flower dos and don’ts which will help narrow down your vision.
Among the dos: Be realistic about your budget (those elaborate arrangements from Pinterest may cost more than you can spend), choose a florist whose style you love and do some research to figure out what flowers you like and what colors will look best in your venue.
On the other hand, you’ll want to stay away from out-of-season blooms, which will usually cost you extra, and avoid copying a look just because it’s blog-worthy.
