Bachelorette Desiree Hartsock Got Married to Final Rose Chris Siegfriend This Weekend
Do not be mad at your DVR, readers: Although former Bachelorette star Desiree Hartsock tied the knot this weekend with her Chosen One Chris Siegfriend, their nuptials were not, if you can believe it, aired on television.
The couple—who I actually now think is cute despite having uncomfortable condolence-prize feelings about after she chose him when Brooks peaced out—got hitched on Sunday in California in what we believe to be a much smaller and more intimate celebration than what ABC would have thrown had they chosen to do this live in front of millions of Americans in Sunday-sweats mode on their couches.
And, as we reported last spring, the bride—a bridal designer herself—wore a dress she designed with Maggie Sottero, who Des considers a mentor in the industry. (Sadly, there are no pics yet—but we will all be able to see them on Wednesday in this week’s issue of Us Weekly.)
I kind of dig that they didn’t do this thing on TV, and hope they make it! These bachelorettes sure do have a better track record than the dudes.
