After attending my first winery wedding last month (and visiting a gorgeous Maryland vineyard just a few weeks ago), I’m pretty much sold on the idea that wineries are an ideal venue for outdoor fall weddings. With lush rolling hills, acres of breathtaking vineyards, rustic indoor spaces to host your reception and tons of yummy local wine, wineries can be an amazing backdrop to your Big Day.

Not only that, but all of those pre-wedding affairs—like your bridal shower and bachelorette party—can be held at local wineries too. Winery tours, wine tastings and wine pairing classes are all fun ways to get your girls together to celebrate your upcoming nuptials.

Scattered around the greater Philadelphia area are quite a few gorgeous wineries that have hosted their fair share of beautiful weddings. Take a look at the ones we’ve rounded up below.

Crossing Vineyards and Winery
Where: 1853 Wrightstown Road, Washington Crossing
What: This sprawling vineyard, which is nestled on a 200 year old estate in Bucks County, has all of your wedding-related events covered: Gather your best girls for one of their many seasonal events (wine tasting & yoga and wine & flower arranging are on their class schedule for fall), host your bridal shower in Jonathan’s Garden and celebrate your I Do’s in Vistas, the vineyard’s elegant tented area.

Grace Winery at Sweetwater Farm
Where: 50 Sweetwater Road, Glen Mills
What: Exchange vows in a quaint ceremony underneath the trees in Sweetwater Woods before heading inside the newly renovated 1750s bank barn to party with up to 140 guests. One important thing to note when having your wedding here: In addition to renting the venue, all of the rooms in the manor house and the cottages at Sweetwater Farm Bed and Breakfast must be reserved for the entire weekend.

Laurita Winery
Where: 85 Archertown Road, New Egypt
What: Whether your wedding is an intimate affair or a party for over 200 guests, this New Jersey venue can accommodate your every need. Toast your Big Day inside Laurita’s charming winery or opt for a tented wedding overlooking their vibrant vineyards. You can also host smaller private events here and have your gathering catered by Branches Catering.

Rose Bank Winery
Where: 258 Durham Road, Newtown
What: The aforementioned wedding I attended took place here and it was a beautiful venue for a breezy evening affair. The historic Buckman Barn and its adjoining patio are perfect for the cocktail hour while two distinct ballrooms offer large, flexible settings for your reception.

Willow Creek Winery & Farm
Where: 60-168 Stevens Street, West Cape May
What: Horse-drawn carriages, boutique hotel accommodations and a reception in their 12,000-square-foot tasting room are just a few of the perks of having your wedding at this Cape May winery. Plus there are plenty of unique photo ops here to make your Big Day even more memorable: Strike a pose in front of the gorgeous Southern Mansion, among the grapevines and on their life-sized “Alice in Wonderland” chessboard. Wine tastings and tours are available too for your shower and bachelorette.
